Our speech and language evaluation

Every child starts with a thorough evaluation. We talk with you about your child's history and your concerns, observe your child through play, and use standardized testing to understand their speech and language skills. Afterward, we explain what we found in plain language, answer your questions, and give you a written report and a recommended plan.

What therapy looks like

Therapy is play-based and built around your child's interests, so it feels like fun while your child is working hard. Every plan includes parent coaching, so you leave with simple strategies to use during everyday routines like meals, bath time, and reading together. We track progress closely and update goals as your child grows.

Speech and language FAQ

  1. At what age should I worry about my child's speech? If your child isn't using words by 18 months, isn't combining words by age 2, or is hard to understand by age 3, it's a good time to reach out. Early support makes a real difference.

  3. Do I need a referral? Yes. All of the insurance plans we accept require a physician referral before therapy begins. Ask your child's pediatrician, and we're happy to help with what's needed.

  4. What insurance do you accept? Nevada Medicaid, Molina, CareSource, HPN Medicaid, Sierra Health and Life, UMR, and Aetna.

  5. How often will my child come to therapy? Most children come one to two times per week, but we'll recommend a schedule based on your child's evaluation and goals.
